Molly Flessert

Ms. Flessert is a first-year graduate student in the Cognitive Sciences program at Georgia State working with the COMIC lab.

She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor of Science in Zoology and Conservation Biology. She studied the fetal alcohol effects in rhesus macaque monkeys at the Harlow Center for Biological Psychology. After completing her Bachelors she spent two years as a post-baccalaureate research fellow at the National Institute of Mental Health in the Laboratory of Brain and Cognition where she studied face processing in rhesus macaques using fMRI and behavioral techniques.

Her current research interests include metacognition, cognitive illusions, and problem solving. She aims to study these comparatively in humans and nonhuman primates through work at the Language Research Center and at various daycare centers.
